On the cool clear days of
winter Mt. Arrowsmith is perfect for backcountry snowmobiling. For the
truly adventurous and experienced outdoors person, why not backpack in
and dig a snow cave for overnight shelter?
-
It's summer. Plan to make
S'Port Alberni
the venue for your next little or junior league ball tournament. Local
sports fields at provide the turf and once the champions have
been declared the kids are off to glory a board the McLean Mill
historic steam train; the 2-spot. Be prepared to meet a train
robber or two along the way!

Why not try kayaking on the Alberni Inlet or local lakes and
rivers?
-
Your seniors' lawn
bowling tournament is hosted at the pristine local green and after the last jack is struck the team heads to the historical
South Port area to follow the self-guided Walking Tour. The tour
features 25 local historical sites and points of interest to acquaint
you with Port Alberni's rich historical past. A refreshing cup of tea
at the Harbour Quay completes your jaunt.
-
Surf and turf. Your
league rugby cup final is scheduled for the pitch at the Port Alberni
Blacksheep Rugby Club playing fields. The winning try is scored and the players are off to
bait a hook and "tie-one-on" for real aboard a salmon
fishing charter. Afterwards, catch of the day on the barbie back at
the clubhouse!
